Important Update to Inheritance Tax
Alistair Darling has announced some significant immediate changes to the laws surrounding Inheritance Tax (IHT). He has raised the threshold to £624,000 but it is not that simple and it depends upon your personal situation. Ultimately it affects the following people in different ways and you may even still be liable with an estate value of just £312,000.
Are you:
Married or in a civil partnership with an estate over £624,000?
Widowed with an estate over £624,000
Divorced or single with an estate over £312,000?
Then we need to talk. Phone the Readers Digest Inheritance Tax service now on 0800 345 7531* to find out more about how these changes affect your IHT liability.
